Great publication design does more than organize content — it gives an organization's story a visual voice. From magazine covers and editorial spreads to annual reports, program guides, and community publications, I design long-form materials that are structurally clear, visually engaging, and tailored to the audiences they serve. This work spans commercial editorial, public sector communications, nonprofit publications, and personal keepsake projects — demonstrating a versatile approach to publication design that balances creativity, clarity, and purpose.
This project centered on the creation of a custom-designed book that preserved and celebrated family heritage through food, stories, and faith. The book served as both a treasured keepsake and a practical collection, bringing together recipes passed down through generations alongside meaningful narratives and reflections.  I am currently working on a revised version of this publication.
As part of an employee appreciation initiative called Recipes for Success, I led the creative design of a custom cookbook that showcased recipes and photos submitted by company employees. This project involved collecting and organizing content, designing layouts for readability and visual appeal, and integrating employee-submitted photography to create a cohesive, engaging publication. The cookbook was professionally printed and distributed alongside a branded appreciation package that included a Recipes for Success apron, a whisk, a coffee mug, and ingredients to make a “cake in a mug.” My role combined graphic design, layout, project management, and brand alignment to create a memorable, personalized experience that celebrated employees and company culture.
For this project, I developed the book’s full visual identity—from concept to final production. I designed a compelling cover that captured the gravity and emotional depth of a family’s journey through a glioblastoma diagnosis, and crafted a clean, cohesive interior layout focused on typography, readability, and visual harmony. The result was a professionally produced, publication-ready book with a unified and impactful design.
I was responsible for the full creative development of magazine covers, special sections, and feature spreads for a regional travel magazine —taking each project from initial concept through final production. My role combined photography, image editing, and graphic design to deliver visually compelling covers and layouts that reflected the magazine’s identity and resonated with its audience. Many of the covers and features incorporated my original photography, ensuring a cohesive and impactful presentation.
Led the full design and production of a professional 200+ page book, managing every stage from initial concept to print-ready files. The project included interior layout and typography, creative direction, image and asset management, and final production, resulting in a cohesive, publication-ready book.
This project entailed creating a keepsake book for a 50th high school reunion celebration. The scope of the project included woking with the reunion chairwoman to gather and organize all content, determine a theme and then design and layout this 175+ page book.
I created a personalized travel book highlighting destinations and photos submitted by company employees, celebrating a retiring colleague’s career. The project involved collecting content, designing layouts, and integrating employee-submitted photography to craft a visually engaging and cohesive publication. The book was professionally printed and presented at the retirement party, serving as a meaningful keepsake and tribute.
Project scope required the design of covers for a series books detailing the whimsical adventures of the author and her family and friends.
When the Williamson County Community Band said farewell to their longtime director, I volunteered my design skills to create a lasting tribute worthy of the occasion. Coordinating the collection of photos and heartfelt messages from fellow band members, I designed a custom memory book that celebrated his years of dedicated leadership and the community he helped build. This personal project reflects my ability to gather content from multiple contributors, curate it thoughtfully, and produce a polished, meaningful keepsake that goes beyond design — telling a human story with care and intention.
